PEORIA — The Peoria Historical Society’s annual historic home tour will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. Tickets are $15 each until Thursday, then $20. Call 674-1921, or purchase at Exhibit A Gallery, Relics, Urban Artifacts and Gregg Florist. Tickets also are available at any of the homes during the walk.
Homes on the walk include: John C. Flanagan House Museum, Pettengill-Morron House Museum and three private residences. The Flanagan House will feature a 1940s holiday with World War II soldiers visiting guests on the lawn, costumed interpreters and big band holiday music. The Morron home will feature a French Christmas. Other homes include: Dr. James Adams, 1200 W. Moss Ave.; Bill and Valerie Ackerman, 1325 W. Moss Ave.; and Vicki Hibberd, 101 NE Roanoke Ave.
TREMONT
The Tremont Commerce Association is having a Christmas Tour of Homes and a Christmas walk on Saturday, Dec. 3. The walk starts at 9 a.m. with a breakfast with Santa at the grade school. Carriage rides, a vendor show and lunch also will be there.
The tour features five homes and the Tremont Historical Museum, corner of Sampson and Madison streets. It is from 4 to 7 p.m.
Homes include: the Proehl home, 1253 NE Windermere; the Vance home, 217 N. Sampson St., the Risinger home, 215 N. West St.; the Rocke home, 416 N. Hannibal; and the Herrin home, 100 W. Margarete.
Proceeds benefit the club’s scholarship program and general fund.
Princeville homes featured include: Michaele and Tom Webber, 12710 Chippe Drive; Amber and Caleb Chain, 602 E. Main St.; Mary Ann and Alan Knobloch, 9501 W. Oertley Road; and Seven Oaks House, 205 W. Douglas.
