The smartest one is yet to come. This is a continuous journey where you keep experimenting and learning. It is important to be prudent with expenses in the beginning of your career. I have always been cautious to not rely on any particular asset class and have maintained a balanced portfolio. A disciplined approach towards money management is absolutely essential.

Do not leave financial planning decisions on someone else’s shoulders. The first thing is to start participating actively in financial planning whenever, wherever required—whether at home or at work. Don’t be an independent ‘dependent’ person. Do your own research about savings and investment plans. Start managing and planning your own finances at an early age.
Gender clichés at work
Women’s aggression towards work is not seen positively. That is strange because I have seen that women’s aggression translates into excellent work. I have not let this stand as an obstacle in my thought processes nor have I let it change my approach. I simply tell myself that what really matters is the result.

Dear colleagues,
Welcome to this new start of your journey. I can promise you that this will be exciting and challenging, with a lot of learning. I am taking this opportunity to share some of the professional lessons that I learned in my working life, in the hope that they will help you.
First, believe in yourself and be open to accepting new opportunities, instead of indulging your self-doubt and overthinking (as we often do). Don’t be afraid to come out of your comfort zones and challenge your potential. Second, you have to work hard, rather harder. There is no substitute for this for anyone. Third, own your work. Own your goals. Own your projects. Own your daily tasks. We work best when we know that the responsibility of making something happen rests on our shoulders.
Last, but never the least, speak up for yourself. Don’t let yourself be the victim of any situation. Don’t assume and accept things at face value. We all need some help from time to time, so never hesitate to ask for help and support. This is the place where you will be acknowledged and rewarded for your hardwork, speed, ownership.
